CAFF is hiring Groundwater Community Engagement Contractors!

CAFF (Community Alliance with Family Farmers) is hiring for part time contractors to work with the Water Policy Team as part of the state-wide strategy to educate and support small farmers in the face of changing groundwater access. We are looking for individuals rooted in the farming community who are interested in water and ensuring that other growers in the county have the right information and support related to their groundwater. While an understanding of groundwater challenges is helpful, CAFF is prepared to provide resources for the right people on water-specifics if they know the region and challenges faced by agriculture in their area.

CAFF's priority regions include Butte, Colusa/Glenn, Monterey (Salinas), Tehama, San Luis Obispo (Paso Robles), and Yolo/Solano/Sacramento Counties. We are partnering with the UC ANR Small Farms Team on this project, who will be hiring in the San Joaquin Valley (3 positions), Riverside County, and Santa Clara County. This project runs February 2026 with hourly pay range at $85-100/hour. More details at the hiring posting linked here.
